I don't think the red heat detectors are made anymore.
If I recall right the owner of the company passed away a few years ago.

They were made in the UK if I recall right.

You might find one used on e-bay or somewhere else like a dealer. But that also brings up the fact, you'd have a hard time if you needed parts or service. 8)

Will the soveigrn see that quarter on the backside of a pair of iron pliers like in the video? Is that common in modern detectors,because I have been using older borrowed equipment.Thats why I am in the market.

Well thats a tough one for most detectors.. Seeing a coin behind a pair of pliers.

I don't think it is common to be able to do that on modern detectors.
Remember these detectors are no magic wands. ;D

I would look into a XP GoldMaxx or a Minelab Explorer if I was tired of digging nails.
Both have good depth, good Iron ID and are popular. :thumbsup:
The XP though is analogue so it has no meter to watch for target ID. Only sounds.
