At the highest sensitivity that is stable, it air tests 11" on dime, 12" on nickel. On my 5" deep planted dime, signal is loud at minimum sensitivity. It gives a one-way signal on what may be ground mineralization, but coins beep L/R & R/L. Maximum disc is screw cap rejection, zincs can't be eliminated, so you wont know what coin you have until you dig. Results are with the 12"x12" SEF coil.

This might be a good detector for older sites. Also, the 28 kHz frequency should favor small gold, tiny nuggets or micro jewelry. I'm in a '60s suburb, so I'll probably end up selling it.
