Add some round river washed stones to help break down the Muck.
a few drops of Jet Dry.
Tumble untill you think it has settled out.
Poor off the execess muck.
and keep feeding it.

Tree huggers frown on Mercury.
What even made you think about the stuff?
I use it all the time under controlled settings and it does it's job.
Mercury is as safe as any thing else you have under your kitchen sink if used right.
Do you have Floresent Light Bulbs in your house?
Did you know they have Mercury with in them.
How many have you broken?
