That would be great if it was positively true....it is much disputed as to if it is the actual one or not.There is one at the Placer County museum that is claimed to be it as well

It's totally true... you can even see the bite marks on the gold flake.

Kinda funny how the first gold in California gets controlled by the army and president. I bet there's a dredge ban so the govt can preserve most all the gold, and get it later ;)
