Anyone on this forum panning in the Lake Altoona area for gold? Like to get togethor with anyone who may be interested - also maybe some mine tailings with a metal detector?

Panning around the Lake Allatoona Georgia area

I would think it's not Legal 'What is these day's' on ACOE Land
but
Have come across a few folks Running Sluice's Off Kellogg Creek rd ( wrong spelling likely ) near 92 & back off glade rd near Red Top, did not approach them them.
Old Gold mine in the first place I Mentioned but it's built with Houses now.
Also another old mine off 6 'es & hwy 205 .
I can get flakes out of the Small Creek that runs behind my house but i'm too lazy to Pan + it hurts my Back .LOL
Plenty Places to try Around the Area , If it were me I'd Focus my efforts around the SE area of the Lake.
i.e Mostly in Cherokee Co.
