I found this in my pan for the first time.....what is it?

the pictures are under a USB microscope at 20X to 200X. it looks like copper but im not positive. I have about 10 pieces some bigger some smaller. That stuff is tiny.....pics at 250X

If it was balled up copper wire the sides of the wire would be smooth. Your's looks lumpy and bumpy, so it's naturally formed.

Try taking a small bit and having it tested at the pawn shop, that or sacrifice a small bit to nitric acid and see if it sticks around. Be neat if it was wire gold.
