My brother just pulled this out of a pack of brand new bills at work. Just kind of curious what kind of value it could hold.

Thanks

That’s a lot of 4’s, I have heard of people paying (more than face value) for interesting SN’s

That bill would be killer for liars poker.

I can find them, not very old, up into the hundreds of dollars for similar solids. But neither of us really know much about paper currency collecting.

He also got 44444443, and 44444445, so its an uncirculed sequential set of the bills, with the solid.

A#1,
Do not sell that bill until you have researched it thoroughly!! It's worth a small fortune !!
I vote it for BANNER right now; I doubt such a bill has even been seen on TNet before; at least none has ever been reported as found, such as yours.

Collectors look for certain patterns that include solids (every digit the same), such as 11111111; ladders(counting up or down), such as 12345678; lows, 00000100 or lower; highs, 99999900 or higher; radars (same backwards and forwards), such as 13466431; repeaters (second half same as first half), such as 12791279; super repeaters (pair of numbers repeated four times); double quads, such as 55553333, seven in a row and seven of a kind.
To collectors, yours is the rarest kind (and most sought after) bill; a 'solid' of 4s. If I had that bill I'd submit a copy to Heritage Auctions for their suggested opening price and estimated value range; it's in the thousands !!
Don....

Nice find, too bad they weren’t 8s because then you would have found the holy grail for a Chinese gambler - I believe 8 is their luckiest number. Unfortunately 4 is one of their unlucky numbers as the word 4 sounds like the word for death. I agree with the other posters, research before you sell.

All eights on a used 1981 sold for over 2 grand. I think with yours having the corresponding bills in mint condition might be as Macaydon said worth a lot more. Is it yours or your brothers? Most excellent find.

They're my brothers bills, not sure if that should be banner worthy, since they aren't actually mine.

So far he had an offer of $650, just in researching it's value.

Thanks for input so far.

That's absolutely killer. I am voting banner on a bill like that. The Chinese I believe have a superstition on the number 4, cant remember off hand what it is, but i would send all 3 to get graded. Spend the premium and get them authenticated. That run of Bill's would be worth a very high premium if grades well and being sequential. Kudos and merry holidays.

Jesus, that's worth a couple grand at least. If you're gonna sell it, give it to Stacks or something.
