Daniel Yost of McKeansburg, owned at least two tracts of land. On January 20, 1813, he paid $94.11 to the State Treasury to record the purchase of 116 acres in Brunswick Township. This tract of land had been registered by Nicolas Shaffer in 1766. Situated on Raven Creek, this land was bounded by property owned by Bernard Kepper, Daniel Yost himself, Andrew Perkus and Andrew Bolig. In addtion, Daniel Yost certainly owned some lots in McKeansburg. Ref: Hans Peter Yost and His Descendants by Donna G Bartron July 2000.

Thanks Jeff, the JK Yost on Chestnut street IS my great great grandfather's house, name is Jonathan K (Kleckner) Yost. I believe I have a photo of JK Yost somewhere. :) He died in 1917 buried in McKeansburg.

He is the grandson of the Daniel Yost, whose property I am looking for.

The Yost estate 1875 is very interesting, the JK Yost married a Susanna Bankes, and you will notice a neighbor off the Yost estate is a Bankes although her father's name was John, another one to look up in the future. :)
I wonder if that branch of that stream could have been called Raven creek at one time and that block of land is part of the 114 acres of Daniel Yost from the early 1800s.

You are good on Schuylkill county, that is for sure. I see other names associated with my ancestry on these maps.

Samuel M Yost is in the book, but would be more like a cousin x amount times removed from my line, but is descended from Daniel Yost's brother. (John Adam Yost)
