I was driving yesterday morning (about 11am) to downtown and past Frank Curto Park and saw a detectorist swinging what looked like a Bounty Hunter. I did not have the time to stop and introduce myself (sorry). Just wandering if it was anybody from T-Net. Thanks.

PS. Hope there were some good finds.

I own a BH, but it wasn't me. Don't think I know where that park is even at. The closest I get to downtown Pittsburgh is CHP or AGH. I know them hospitals because my son sees a specialist at both hospitals.

Often wondered about that park, but it is such a pain to get to and from, I never bothered. Maybe we will get a post from the mystery detectorist.

Has the ground thawed enough to make digging easy in parks without making a mess?

I've run into 2 guys detecting in the last year around the Pgh. area that either were on T-net or lurk on T-net.
Both have minelabs.
Haven't seen either post.

The one guy recognized me by my pic and stopped to chat. That's what I like about this community.

Hey Al,

I was out in a couple of parks over the weekend. The ground was thawed in the open sunny areas.
Had no problem getting down 8-10". You couldn't tell I was there after I replaced my plug.

I've driven past that park hundreds of times and never thought about detecting it. You gave me an idea ;D
