Im pretty sure there is NO Tresspassing on these grounds due to vandalism and other reasons. I used to work for a company in Mental Health & Retardation and some of our "Clients" came from this place, it was an aweful place to be. Also there are 2 cemeteries on the grounds. One was for the adults and the other was for the children that were born there and died. There is another Asylum in Pa also that had closed and recently sold but I can't remember the name off hand (Might be Byberry).

Many sites here are private property and are patrolled by private security, and local, state, and Mental Health police, who may be armed and have the power of arrest! You are subject to fines and/or arrest if you are caught trespassing on these grounds. Many semi-active location security forces will confiscate your film/camera in regards to patient privacy. Please cooperate with security on grounds, they are just doing their job, and that should be respected.

These places are neglected and very dangerous; beware of collapsing structure, asbestos, lead, tetanus, toxic molds, crackheads and ticks that cause Lyme Disease.

This one is a definite NO! The grounds are still as they it left the day they closed in some spots. It still has old files and desks as if they just got up and left. There are tunnels and some really creepy stuff but nothing as bad as the history of abuse to the patients. My neighbor's mom worked in the cafeteria. Local NBC news (WCAU 10) Bill Baldini did a story on it in 1968 which supped many lawsuits and the place was closed down. It has been partying grounds for teens and a place ghost hunters frequent. It is on many abandoned places websites for people who like exploring forgotten places. There is currently a VA hospital on the grounds and it is now patrolled by guards. This site had also been proposed for a Veterns cemetery but was beat out by Bucks county site. I have added some interesting links but there are many more with a simple Google search.

Here is a sad story from a former patient that is well worth the read; in fact, I'll bet you can stop reading once you start:
