1780s. Deer Lake Inn up for sheriff's sale
DEER LAKE - The former Deer Lake Inn is up for sheriff's sale April 25.
It is scheduled for sale at 1 p.m. in Courtroom No. 1 in the Schuylkill County Courthouse.
The property at 1567 Centre Turnpike, Orwigsburg, dates back to the 1780s.
Any possible buyers will be bidding against First National Bank of Fredericksburg, which holds the judgment of $171,270.63 and filed the lawsuit that led to the sheriff's sale. Ten percent of the sale price is due at the end of the sale, with the remaining amount to be paid within 10 days after the sale.
