POTTSVILLE – Heavy rain caused flooded streets and basements throughout Schuylkill County on Sunday.
“We were inundated here,” Pottsville Fire Chief James E. Misstishin Sr. said.
The National Weather Service, State College, issued a flash flood warning Sunday afternoon. Paul Head, a meteorologist with the NWS, State College, said radar estimates show between 1.9 to 2.8 inches of rain fell, with additional heavy rain possibly occurring after midnight.
Parts of Schuylkill County hit with flooding problems included Pottsville, Frackville, Gilberton, Minersville, Cass Township, Norwegian Township and Tremont.

I have had my driveway wash out 5 times this year. When I first moved in almost 20 years ago, it never washed out. Even just a few years ago, it would only wash out once a year at most.

Looks like you could use a drawbridge of some sort to get to the house, concrete would not even work- wash out on the sides of it. Good luck on whatever you do, sorry to see that, water does not stop for anyone. HH
