Somone on here once said "Don't Ask, Don't tell"
Meaning We're not doing anything Illegal.
Detectors can be bought at Wallmart, Radio shack, Etc.
Same as Footballs, Boom Boxes, Etc.

People don't ask if they can use them in the parks
Why should we ?

Makes alot of Sense. And Although I would say Definately ask first.
I'm not so sure Pushing things with those who Create these Rules
would do anything but make them Strengthen them.
Or create new ones where there were none.

A park officer who sees you but dosn't know the rules may
move on thinking Just another Detector Guy.

A Park officer put on the Spot But Dosn't know,
May ask themselves Why is he asking ?
Must be something Wrong with what he's Doing
that He's Asking. and say No to protect his Butt
& Look smart.

A person who Writes these laws will Research all
the Reasons it is not allowed elswhere.
Read what he wants in it, And produce a New Stronger Law,
so he can get his Kicks.
