SAINT CLAIR — A Pottsville man discovered an unlikely cache Sunday during a GPS-aided adventure.

Avid geocacher Bobby Davis stumbled across more than 500 shrink-wrapped phone books while on a location hunt through Saint Clair last weekend. The 50-year-old hobbyist said he found the directories scattered in the bushes along Darkwater Road near the old Repalier wash house.

“I was one of the customers who didn’t receive one,” Davis said. “Got one now.”

Saw the same thing happen here in Mountain Top. Hundreds of books dumped along the Ashley Planes. No wonder gates are always going up somewhere... >:(

With heating costs supposed to skyrocket, I'd soak them lightly in kerosene &
keep them dry, they'll probably burn like a log in the woodburner or fireplace.
