Because I have space to do it, I have been hoarding my copper like my silver.
It is a precious metal to me. That Utah mine collapse thing triggered it for me.
I haven't heard how that is playing out, have they cleaned it up, are they back
to mining, guess I should do more research.
I scrap and store copper knowing someday it has to go up, am I wrong?

I dont think so! I to grab onto it. It seems that copper, silver, and gold have been a unit of trade for a LONG time, and much has been done to control it. Even if it does find a new low, that just means it can only go up!

Is copper a precious metal?
to me, yes, I consider all metal precious.
If it goes ballistic I will sell, if not, my heirs will have to deal with it as I have had to deal with my father's
tons and tons of iron and petrified wood!
None of this has been easy, however, it has been a great learning experience!

I agree. If it goes through the roof, I will sell, otherwise, my heirs will have to decide what to do with it. I thought it may be fun to set up cirumstances in my will, that make those who drive me crazy, have to lift it all out the hole where it lives. Just my way of being a jerk after death lol! I have some that flat drive me insane, but such is family!
