20's Homestead
A friend invited me to detect an old family ranch. It is on an island surrounded by a river that floods every year so there is very little loose trash. I located some water system pipes and a pile of burried trash .The family still camps here in the summer so there is a combination of old and new stuff. The only coin was a cad quarter. I spent a while digging out a 5 gal can that was down about 2 ft near one of the home sites and found it full of sand. It is going to take a few days to take a good look at the whole place. At one time it was used for round-ups and it had two cabins and some large corrals. Nothing worth a picture yet. BB
