I found this axe head while relic hunting with my metal detector in a large field on the family property in MA about six miles from Concord. It was heavily encrusted in rust and found about 8 inches or more down. It measures 6 inches in length and 1 inch thick. 4 inch wide at cutting edge and 3 at the but. Would like to see if anyone knows how old or any pertinent info about my relic. There are no visible makers mark or date. Please help. Thanks so much!
