Hello everyone! I'm new here and new to hunting. I've bought myself a little garret ace 350 so I'm not sure how I will do but I'm definitely giving it my best shot. I've been researching historic maps and have found some good spots over he last month. So far , over 20 bullets and a few coins/ buttons. I know it's not much but it's pretty exciting for me being a history buff. I've been reading threads and it seems there are alot of like minded people on this app so I'm excited to learn some tips from some of you pros! I just wanted to introduce myself and hope to add some pics of recent finds as soon as I figure the site out a little more. Good hunting everyone!

Here are my finds from going after work this past week, this is from a field next to, what my map says, was a military train terminal outside of Petersburg va. I also found a few horseshoes and diamond shaped rail spikes , as well as what I'm pretty sure are burnsides not pictured, I'm not sure what the thing with the "spike" is. It has a small hole in the part that's coming off the side of the tip. I'm new t this but research has turned up little. I tried to get some close ups. Any ideas? Thanks for any help!
