It's illegal to take anything from a National Park. If you get caught with an arrowhead in your hand, you'll probably be in big trouble.

You can not remove any artifacts, rocks, plants even wood from Yellowstone or any other National Park.

Just enjoy the park, I have been there at least 8 times on 2 week vacations... Go swimming in the rivers, water is great....

I was a national park ranger for 6 years. As others have said it is illegal to take artifacts (a felony). Over the years I did find a couple broken points and turned them in to cultural resources. Also don't look for them outside the park either still illegal. But enjoy its magical place.
