I have one sweet spot that I always walk away with some great object and today was no different. Usually I hunt with an AT pro but recently bought a Nokta Fors gold. I went over an area that's been pounded by several ppl using AT pros, Minelab ctx safaris etracs 705s, whites and Tesoros. I go back along the same areas that has been walked dozens of times and bam the targets pop up like mad.
This place was built 1798 and the union army took the place over so we find union pieces often plus items all the way back to the Revolutionary war.
Today found a rivet for horse reigns and the side piece to the horse bridle bit.

Nice finds.. They look familiar!... I've found several nails with a star like that on the head too

How weird that you would have the same. Was that star "nail" more like a rivet ? Mine came to a rounded end not broken or anything.

There is a star on both of these.. One nail one leather rivet.
The nail design is definitely 20th century

I,m 95% sure I dug a Similar Rivet in the past couple years, look's so familiar .
Good job getting those relics out of such a Hard Hunted Site.

Having a good day /or not Depends on ones Perspective of the relics Dug.

I found the bridle piece at a church site that was built in 1902.. The several star head items I dug up where from 1 lot that was close to a body of water that had a mix of items from the 1830's all the way to present day
