I went out today for a couple hours in a field near my house; not much history other than someone drank a lot of beer from the pull tab era.. the ground is mostly sand and when it rains it's closer to quick sand. The red clay base is somewhere down there out of range so I suspect most if any old coins are far out of reach.
3 hours and one AX head... a couple old .22 casings and that's about it..
I suspect the AX head isn't to old considering the wedge is or appears to be aluminum.
The AX head was about 12 inches deep..
