coin depth question at 1900 home site

I have been hunting on a existing 1900 homesite. I am using a Garrett AT Pro. At what depth should I be finding coins from that period to the 1950's?

The soil is dark and easy to dig, somewhere between clay and sand and more towards the sand side.

Coins are wherever you find em. Some older coins can be an inch deep while a newer clad dime can be six inches deep. Just depends on how the ground it was lost in had alterations due to gardening, vegetation, filling and scraping.
