Silver thimble, does anybody recognize the hallmark?

Found in the yard of a home that was moved to the current site at the beginning of the 20th century, but the area was a town in the 1850s. There are no marks on the inside of the thimble. I am hoping somebody will recognize what I assume is the maker's trademark... Sterling broken up into two words, and two vertical lines. I have tried to Google it, but its a tough one to search for and so far, no luck.

I want to return the thimble to the home owner, as it may well have been his great-grandmother's, but I'd love to be able to maybe tell him more about it.

I don't think anyone can ID this because the mark "ll" is the size of the thimble and probably not a hallmark. Thimbles come in a variety of sizes and 11 is one of those. The size is usually marked on the thimble next to the sterling or .925 ect
Many do not have a hallmark.

The thimble I found looked very similar. The hallmark "S" was down on the inside. At the fingertip.
