I found these two pieces of a scabbard on property whose house dates back into the 1700s. This is located in the Hudson Valley New York.

I had contact with a few sword collectors who were British, and knew little of American or colonial swords. They said that this appears to be ( or modeled after) a Calvary Officers sword, circa 1790-1820.

I haven't yet gone back to attempt to locate the third piece, but I will.

In the mean time, anyone have any thoughts?

I think it looks great. I don't know much about swords but I know enough to be jealous :^).
You might want to post this in "Today's Finds" or another forum where it will get more exposure. This forum is very sparsely populated.
