Can anyone give me some pointers in researching Rev War era treasure info? I'm interested in the Bennington, Vt payroll robbery.

a tip for you --- reportly near the current area of the bennigton battle monumemt just west of bennington on state 7 --a group of patriot raiders took about $90,000 in gold and silver from a british supply convoy during the war -- reportly they buried or hid the money in the area before being caught and shot -- supposedly they refused to revel the moneys location (most likely thats why they were shot --which most likely even if they had coughed up the cash they still would have been shot for trying to "steal it in the first place" -- so this way at least they go out a hero rather than as a plain "thief" ) Ivan
