Costa Rica Trip

Anyone know of any rocks, minerals, or gemstones in Costa Rica that would be worth going after? I'm going this winter and would love to do a little hunting while I am there. Any help would be much appreciated.

Don't know what rocks and jems are there but I know there is gold. The following web link is mostly about smelting but was put together by K. Williams who is no longer with us, but who spent alot of years prospecting in C.R. He also talks about some of the snakes to look out for down there. Give it a read. P
