Re: Interesting rock ( ore ) with golden metal and crystals on it please help to ID
If it is metal....do you get a signal from your metal detector? Any rock showing signs of quartz, appears to contain a yellow metal, should always be checked to see if it is gold. Can you tell if the yellow is metallic or just a mineral? Some of that looks bright in your photos, if that is gold, you sure got a trophy of a specimen, banner no doubt.

Difficult to say, most likely Pyrite (brass-like colour). Galena can get oxidized and get a blueish cover.
There is some 'golden' stuff that could be gold. But could also be Chalcopyrite.

Not all raw gold is a nice butter yellow color, we have some places in the US, the gold looks darker. Get a strong metal signal with the detector, definitely you need to get the rock tested.

You should IMHO get it tested either way, gold can be locked up in the sulphides and is then not noticeable for the detector. If it is Galena there might also be silver present in the galena.

That's an attractive specimen. Gold will shine in the shade. Pyrite will not. Pyrite is brittle and will shatter under pressure while
gold is soft and spreads under pressure. Looks like fools gold.
