Pretty opal

I found this opal in a bucket of rocks a family member gave me. The size is 7/8th of an inch. What I am not sure of is what type of opal is it and what is the worth if I decide to make a ring/broach? I am a petrified wood collector, so this is out of my league. Thank you all for your input!
