Very colorful. :) Aside from the color how did you identify the linarite?

Very colorful. :) Aside from the color how did you identify the linarite?

Our club was invited to collect at a mine known as the Blanchard Mine in central New Mexico. The mine is known for it's linarite. This crystal is very small but is clear with a 60 power magnifier. I'm sure I would have missed it if I wasn't aware of the mines minerals. Quite a bit of galena and fluorite was mined there.
If I go back I will focus on finding larger linarite.
