Rasputin is correct. :) I'll only add to that a bit with what your looking at are the individual crystals and mica that are fragmenting off of and out of the original host rock. Because your stone is what would be considered a mass, or massive, formation the individual crystals are all mashed up so there is not much hope for good individual crystals however you might get some gemmy bits.

Not very clear scvrock, but my guess is Quarts with iron oxide and looks like mica or pyrite?
