Oolitic magnetite or ?????

Curious thoughts of this....never seen the oolitic / chrondule like feature. The density is 2.9 which is way lower than magnetite. Attraction to magnet is VERY strong (will hold rock up through fingers) so I don't think it is hematite.

My default response is it is slag from iron production. The bubbles seem to give it away. But it could be some of the BIF, Banded Iron Formation. There is much iron mining in that region, most likely resulting from a giant meteor in the early part of the earths history. So it could be in original form but I think it was been melted and reformed either by man or from the impact a billion or so years ago.

Would BIF have such a strong attraction to magnets? Also, as an FYI, the bubbles are surface only....all solid inside
