Hello, My name is Steve and I am an addict! I can't pass up a cool rock even if I am the only one that thinks it is cool. This was in a 59 cent bag of rocks at Goodwill. Very light blue crystal in host rock. Any idea what it is? Thanks Steve

Can a knife scratch it? Try in an area not visible. Might be feldspar, although that'd be an unusual colour. Calcite is also possible, flourite as well.

Good. Since a knife can scratch it, we're down to calcite and flourite.

A drop of acid (i.e. vinegar) will settle which one it is. Calcite will bubble and fizzle, flourite will not.
Just wash it off with water afterwards. :)

Flourite it is! No bubbles, No Fizzle. I was hoping for blue diamond but for 59 cents, Flourite is very cool. Thanks!!!
