Non-magnetic, some green- raw copper?

I found this metal detecting, it came up in the copper range. I see the green oxidation of copper but not everywhere. no attraction to a magnet.
Does natural copper come in chunks? I cleaned it with peroxide & soap, got most of the dirt off.
Just curious what it could be

That thing is neat, no idea what it is. Alien poop? Copper seems legit considering the patina

It does appear to be a copper nugget, yes you can find it like that. Michigan and other areas around the great lakes, as well as in the south west, have native copper often found with detectors.
Easy test is a streak test. Copper will leave a red copper streak easily. As to cleaning that will be upto you. Many people like to leave the patina on but metal cleaners and a light buffing can make some specimens more attractive.
You could also have a combination of materials there, looking at it from my view, so try the streak test and a hardness test. Might be some malachite mixed in as well as some silicate. Good find.

Thanks, I'll look into Malachite.
I did try to scratch it (very small area) using a small screw driver to see if it was copper. It is pretty hard and heavy (feels like solid metal). I did sort of see color but I'll try it on my gold testing scratch stone to see what shows up

My initial thought is a melted metal. Back near a local beach teenagers tended to melt aluminum in fires. Sounded real good on the detector.
