Found a weird crystal that doesnt fog but looks a bit frosty when dry and more clear when wet very hard harder than the metal i tried to cut it with not saying it is a diamond but i hope it is it has very distinct sparkleshttp://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5939c27f63115/1496955966801.jpg?

Since I can see straight through it, it's not diamond, unfortunately. Any luck at all, it's topaz.

Topaz is possible, probably not diamond. Has the wrong crystal structure. What state was it found in and what kind of rocks nearby? Topaz is known from NH, VA, UT, TX, CA and a few other places.

Wet or dry, you cannot see straight through a diamond. The crystal structure doesn't allow it.

Clear topaz is often called silver topaz. The characteristics look right, wet and dry, for a water worn topaz but it needs to be verified with a hardness test and a specific gravity would help as well. Worn topaz often is rounded like yours and cloudy when dry. When wet its almost invisible in the water. A bit of quartz will not scratch it a carbide tip will.
