Over a year ago I found an amazing projectile point in my horse pasture. No one has been able to identify the type of lithic material it is made from. Last week, I found what I believe might be an identical lithic match near our creek. It is about five or six acres away from where I found the point. It appears to be a large preform. My question is, what is the type of rock? It was found on our farm in northwest Georgia. Having faith someone will know what this is :)

Both are quartz (SiO2); same lithic unit ...... possibly (considering variation and chemical segregation). Same material ....... yes.
