This last week I was down at Collectors Edge here in Colorado, See Link - https://collectorsedge.com/ . I deal with these guys in their Rhodochrosite mine operation, which they are in the process of driving a new drift above the previous one they mined a few years ago. At there warehouse you can see many fascinating mineral specimens they travel the world to obtain as wholesalers to the mineral collecting market. The stories they tell me of the places they go to hunt these treasures down are nothing less that real life treasure hunting. Much of what they uncover are in museums and in the hands of collectors who are willing to pay big to add to their personal collections. These are just a few of the pictures of the marvelous treasures of the natural world these guys deal in. In the last picture you see these odd and plain looking concretions on a pallet. These are from South Dakota and what they find inside them very often can be a real surprise in the way of Barite Crystals you can see in this link. https://collectorsedge.com/pages/elk-creek-barite-meade-county-south-dakota. They're not just rocks they're minerals.

Thanks for sharing those mineral treasures. Wow. Rich prices.
Yeah they are. The amount of expense they invest in to gather these rare mineral specimens isn't cheap and they seem to have no shortage of buyer's willing to pay these prices either.

Good minerals command good prices :) I feel for the lady in the clip. Reminds me of when I was a kid and would collect hundreds of pounds of rocks~ and when my parents would move, which was often enough, how many of those rocks disappeared and how many minerals managed to make it to the next home. :laughing7:
