Is this Citrine or something else? It's matte, translucent, white with auburn color in the center

Cool little rock but I don't think it is citrine. If you google "citrine mindat" there are some pages which have some great info. I am guessing you have a little piece of agate. I will follow the thread to see if others smarter than me agree...

No, it's not citrine. Looks to be a quartz mineral like chalcedony.

Same type of material can also produce fire agate.
