This rock could be from anywhere but most likely upstate New York or Sicily. It is very hard stone, blackish or very dark brown with flashes of mineral (some flecks of flat white, flat tan, and others which are shiny silver flecks) ...but appears to have man-made edges on 3 sides like it was cut out of a bigger piece. Any help identifyng the type of rock appreciated.
