Dig one out and then try to crush it with the point of a knife. If it breaks up, not gold. if it flattens out, good chance it is gold. Good Luck!

Gold is unlikely. If the suspect “spot” flattens after removal, you may have a winner. If it flakes to smaller pieces, you do not. Based only on the images provided, until other evidence is presented, my opinion is that you have some rocks.

Also, if I may, where in southern Nevada? There are clubs in Las Vegas, Henderson, Pahrump and elsewhere that could help you identify rocks better than a bunch of armchair amateurs on an online forum.

Time for more coffee.

I will post better pictures of better rocks here soon I just happened to have those on my phone last night when I found this site.. I'm I'm Vegas every day but actually live just outside of town about 40 min. North In warm springs which is part of moapa valley.. and I actually found those right next to a placer mine that is for sale that I just stumbled across but I don't know much about it if they actually got much gold out of it or not.. are you around these parts? If so do you know anything about the yellow jacket placer mine in moapa nv?

Are those adularescence effects in the Chalcedony or opal in the first two pics or just reflecting light from the flash?
Also try a short wave uv light on the small areas of either opal or Chalcedony and see if it turns bright green, some Chalcedony turns green under short wave but it's not like hyalite opal that turns bright kryptonite green under it. If you're wondering about gold just crush one of the specimens you collected to a fine powder size then pan it out.

I am curious about the the rocks in the first 2 images as well, can you take a few more images of those in outdoor lighting? possibly close ups. Good eye Steve.

There is at least one more rock club in the St George area.

I tend to push people toward rock, lapidary, and prospecting clubs because most of us tend to learn in a “hands on” setting. Many clubs lend themselves to that type of setting.

Time for more coffee.

Found these somewhere after Kingman Arizona omw home from Texas.

Sorry for the slow response I had a lot going on. But can anyone tell me what I have here? Especially the blue on some of them it feels like a smooth metal kinda.
I really need to figure out how to use this website or forum or whatever it is I guess I've never done this before so sorry if this message and etc aren't posted in the right place..

Every figure out the gold from your previous posts? As to this last post picture's 1 and 3 look to be quartz, tourmaline schorl and either pyrite or mica, likely small pyrites due to the iron staining~ diffucult to see zoomed because most of it blurs. Your second pic looks to be chalcedony, the bluish stuff, in a matrix. Outside pic's that are a little clearer will help.

Hello, I'm new here. I just found this website last night and was hoping someone could help me identify these rocks that I found on my property in southern Nevada. Are those real gold spots? Etc. Thanks in advance.

In your first post the last picture I can see quartz, garnet and pyrites.

DDancer thanks for the reply. I will get some outside pics here shortly. As for the first post and I guess everything else I've found at some point it will crush / crumble if I try hard enough so that always means that it can't be gold??

Likely pyrite JHunt. Gold is malleable and will dent or flatten with force. Crush and pan a few specimens and you'll know if there is any gold to be had.
