Please help with this... Petrified Wood?

Just posted to the "what is it" forum and probably should have posted here...Can anyone help Identify this what I believe is Petrified Wood. What type it is and origin and also if it is just a partial branch or a cypress type knee. Just more odd shaped, with the sharp edges, than others I have seen online. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

It is in my opinion petrified cedar wood. Cant tell what type though.:icon_scratch: Looks partial. Predominantly not native to North America. Probably dates from 5-20 million years.

Thanks for the quick reply HuntH2002! This will help a lot. It's just something I picked up thrifting and thought it was petrified wood but didn't look like the stuff in rocks shops in the Southwest US, so wondered about it. Always appreciate the good people on this forum taking time to read and respond to questions! Thanks again!
