NEL tornado coil not working

Hi everyone,
I recently got a NEL tornado coil for the Garrett AT pro as a Christmas gift.It seems to be giving me a lot of problems.For example I would put a penny on the ground then swing the coil right over the coin and it would give me a very faint signal as if the penny was 8-10 inches deep.
Another problem I’ve been getting is the VID numbers are very inconsistent.I put the coil on exactly how I put on the stock coil and the stock coil was doing just fine.I’m not sure if I have a faulty Coil or if I am doing something wrong.Any advice/Trouble shooting tips would be greatly appreciated.

If possible try it on another machine.

Same result, return it and get another.

Bad components happen, not too often, but it happens.
