Re: two pontoons
Start checking out any and All Boat Docks in your area.
Look for a outfit like this.

They use them for floating docks too.

Check the scrap metal yards.I see whole pontoon boats get scrapped every week. Also jet aircraft drop tanks.

Re: two pontoons
You could always strap a bunch of plastic or steel 55 gallon barrels together end to end to make 2 pontoons.Only 1 problem. You may get a visit from the CG or marine patrol with them thinking you just sailed in from cuba.

Want to treasure dive in gin clear waters at Jupiter!
Re: two pontoons
Take a look at the plastic injected molded pontoons I used.
They are unsinkable foam filled and are interlocking sections.

Re: two pontoons
Fisheye, any idea what the drop tanks are selling for? I'm looking for one (1) and they are not all that common up here (as far as available to the general public - even as scrap). I'll be down in july/aug to pick it up.

Want to treasure dive in gin clear waters at Jupiter!
Re: two pontoons
Sargent Fletcher is the company that makes them.
I purchased 16 of them from government liquidation
for a crazy friend of mine that thought he was going to build
SDV's, Seal delivery vehicles - or wet subs. They cost the government
$500,000.00 for the 16 and come diss assembled in a big fiberglass
water tight box 16 by 4 by 4 feet!
He purchased a few fiberglass versions as well but I told him
the buoyancy factor would be easier to deal with if he had the aluminum
versions.
So, to get to the answer of your question - make a reasonable offer on
the fiberglass units and you will own them. They are in Fort Liquirdale.
