Here's a few screenshots of a SketchUp model of the Damit Janet V which I will be using in a forthcoming book. Just for chuckles. "Archaeological Salvage in the Coastal Zone", or something like that.

Re: Coastal Zone Archaeology/Salvage
I honestly don't know how much of a difference that would make. Those screws are close enough to push all that thrust right down the tubes. It helps that they are angled just a bit. It is an impressive dig boat for sure.

Re: Coastal Zone Archaeology/Salvage
With the Props outside of the Tube it seems that you would not have as much trouble with a cavitation bubble building up !
Not that it would really matter .
Few things I love to do is , Metal Detecting for anything of the past!
Making Detectors better ! Tuning and finding ways to upgrade Detector hardware , To make them work the Best that is possable !
I've never seen the boat out of the water, so I was just winging it, purely using my own imagination. I had to use some moper dopery to make it a feasible stepped stern. But it is one hell of a boat! I'd love to give it a good dig!

The Damit Janet V is great for digging but so top heavy due to the top deck it will make you hold your breath during rough seas wondering if it's gonna go over. Shame it doesn't do much work.
