Can you tell what the metal is? Over the years, lots of folks had bonfires on the beach while digging in the dunes or fishing. Could be a melted fishing weight... who knows. Hard to say without knowing what kind of metal it is.

It's hard to tell what the metal is. When I found it it was completely black and I just rubbed it with my thumb and it revealed some Silvertone. I'm just trying to see if I can make out any markings on it.

I just found 2 similar items today on a treasure coast beach south of you! Feel relatively heavy.

I am going to take mine by Mel's museum tomorrow. See what they say.
