rio, you are in my stomping grounds!!! I have spent many a night floundering around Sandy Bay (west side outside of the mouth of Bayou La Batre) or shrimping straight out from the Bayou. Their musuem is only about 30 min form the Bayou.

That is an incredible pic. I never realized the variety of coins that came off that shipwreck.

Guess it is time to re-read my book on the El Cazador.

Also a very innovative way to "clean" the coins. Maybe it is the ammonia?

spent many months there after katrina, worked from dog river all the way to port bienville, if i get back to the area ill give you a shout .
