found three shipwreck items and one odd thing

the items were a nail,a cleat type item smallish and a very old piece of wood black as coal but the grain was still noticible ---the odd item looks lead grayish in color , it's rather hard (put a steel digger blade to and it didn't cut into it like lead would), kinda heavy for its size,and a magnet will stick to it however its not rusty. sized & shaped in a curve like a tigger guard off an old gun or a handle of a mug---pewter mmaybe. having problems getting photos to load. sorry any guesses as tro the metal type? Ivan

I haven't checked to see if pewter is magnetic...but pure nickel is.
