Went to Red Reef they have just renourished it with what looked like dredged sand. Found 37 cents but not much trash. Hit 5 ferrous targets dug one it was a fishhook. Lots of big chunks of coral in the renourish sand. Stopped at Ft Pierce Inlet on way back met a newbie from Indiana who had just found what looked like a well worn 8 Reale!

I have no reason to disbelieve this story, especially given the history of the area.

The condition of the coin is interesting...
