How do you find the long shaft for scuba? I only use the short one.

do you have any issues with false soundings while swing left / right?
BVI, don't like the long shaft for underwater and usually set it up short shaft. On this day before our dive, dive buddy and I were detecting a couple local beaches and I decided to give it a try long shaft. A bit "trickier" to maneuver. Should have taken the time to switch. On that day, no false soundings with the long shaft.

old man, I wish. That day we were off a old boy scout camp beach and those kids must of loved canned soda.
