Joska, I have 4 sons and many friends. I haven't passed over the bar yet, so it doesn't mean that I can't consult and send a team to check out some new wrecks

The fisherman type graph recording sonar, on the great lakes fish show up real good in 30 ft deep waters, might not be so easy out in the rough coastal waters though...how deep are you going Old Man?

the sportscans are about the cheapest for that depth...

That is multi-freq and goes to 1000' ( I seem to remember the difference was the electronics compartment filled with oil on the deeper version)

hard to beat the price and software. I have seen yellowfins for sale at $3000, with complete packages with cable for $5000. A new unit is about $4000 without cable, etc.

Online...Look under geotech sales, not treasure sales.

These are all basically the same electronics, perhaps on different fish, but all the same.

I have 2 side scan units that are good for shallow to 200 feer deep.a wesmar and a sportscan
