I bought the the Cousteau book on that expedition when I was like 12 years old..1972. Still have it. Treasure hunting must of been in my blood from an early age!
I had the pleasure of meet Cousteau, and showed him around the facility in 1957, or 58 ? when he set up a tent for book signing at the Miami Sequarium, where I worked. Dell
Great Video! We need to take the New World Explorer and go search for was it the James and Mary.... and those guns! the trunions were a dead give way! Too bad they didn't have any good metal detectors back then!
Made a trip to Singapore in 1989 and searched for the 'Geldermelsen' 1754? in South China Sea and Dick Anderson was my cabin-mate. He told me he visited Cousteau museum years earlier and in back room were coins from Silver Shoal wreck. He was somewhat 'jaded' about holy then now 'scientists' . Was quite a trip and we never found wreck. Bob
